WELCOME

We are now half way through Ravi’s benefit year and so far it has been an amazing success. The dinner at The Grange St. Paul’s Hotel in London was a sell-out and we must offer a massive thank you to Kevin Pietersen for such an entertaining Q&A; session, which was boosted by the surprise attendance of Mahela Jayawardene. Sky TV’s Sarah Jane Mee handled proceedings superbly. And then we had the unforgettable night at The County Ground, Chelmsford, where a full strength Essex Eagles took on Ravi’s All Stars in a T20 match. A packed stadium on the warmest night of the year was treated to spectacular cricket and many thanks go out to Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, Shahid Afridi, Moeen Ali, Mahela Jayawardene, Saeed Ajmal, Azhar Mahmood and Man of The Match Monty Panesar for giving such great entertainment.

Next up, we have an Ashes dinner at Lord’s, the home of cricket on Monday 17th August in the presence of members of the England cricket team. Other surprise guests to be announced, but tickets are on sale via this website. The evening is in association with H.R.Owen, who will be donating some amazing prizes on the evening.

On Monday 28th September, we will be having a golf day at The Warren Golf and Country Club. Enter your four ball by contacting me at [email protected] at a cost of £400 + vat. We are strictly limited to a maximum of 25 teams and already there is a lot of interest, so please get your team in quickly. Our friends at Maserati are sponsoring the day and are donating some great prizes.

ASHES DINNER AT LORD’S WITH RAVI AND THE ENGLAND BOYS

Join Ravi Bopara and his friends from the England team for a dinner and Q&A; at the home of cricket, Lord’s.

The date is Monday, 17th August, right in the middle of the Ashes test series, so a chance to meet the England guys and ask for their thoughts on the series so far, as they head to the final test at The Oval later that week.

Other star guests will be announced in due course, but tickets are on sale now at £1500 + VAT for a table of ten or £2000 +vat for a table of ten including an England player.

UPMINSTER CC VS ESSEX CCC XI

Upminster Cricket Club will welcome Essex for the 17th time this summer as part of Ravi Bopara’s benefit year. They will take on Bopara and his team-mates on Sunday August 16 in one of the biggest cricketing dates on the local calendar.

A club statement said “As well as being one of the most entertaining and charismatic cricketers in the world, Ravi is also well known locally having started his cricketing career down the road at Hainault & Clayhall.”
